Borders on Wildflowers

I'm now working on the borders that go around each of my quilt squares. This first one may look like I'm color blind with the color I've selected as an accent. However, once the multi-colored inner quilt border is added, it will make more sense. I'm really looking for colors that will make the square pop.

Projects galore!

I have so many projects going right now and so many more to do before the holidays it's a little overwhelming! I have two quilts to complete, shop samples to make and a little of this and that. It would be nice to really figure out how to clone myself sometimes!! I guess I'll just take it a little at a time and what gets done, gets done. And what doesn't will just have to keep for the next day!

Here's a new little bag I digitized and it's stitched completely in the hoop. It was a really quick and easy project. The next one I do with have a monogram on it!

I've been working on a new Smith Street Designs - Wildflowers quilt. I have successfully figured out how NOT to do templates using my 4D Software. It's MUCH easier!!

Lazy Girl Wallet

Here's a new fast and quick project I had a great time making. I think it took longer to decide on the fabric than actually making it!!

Embroidery Collection #210 - Handlook Needlework

The new collection from HV on Handlook embroidery is wonderful. These are a few pictures of a recent sweater I embroidered on using one of the designs (edited for the shoulder design). The design suggests cotton embroidery thread (30 wt). I only had 40 wt. and it worked out fine. I used one poly thread to give it some "pop". It really turned out nice!

Sewing "Cave"

OK, we all know what a "man cave" is. So this is my sewing cave. It's a converted "train room". Patience does pay off ladies!! These pictures are my initial move in and there is much more to come. Ted wasn't too sure about the wall color. And I do admit it's a lot of yellow, but it really looks nice and bright. It also softened up a lot with the wood floor. And right now it is my favorite place in the world to be, other than with my hubby:}

Sweetheart Sachet

Here's another small Sketch project that makes a great wedding or baby gift. It's a heart sachet that is sketched and has some small 3D elements. This is a real quick project and the word can be changed to anything, such as Dream, Love, Hope, etc.

Summer Sampler

I'm now completing a great 4D Sketch project titled Summer Sampler. It's a Crabapple Hill embroidery design that I took into Sketch and digitized. It turned out wonderful and has a few 3D type elements. This picture is from the cover of the pattern. I'll post my finished project as soon as I stitch the pillow together. I have the sides all complete but want to purchase an invisible zipper for the bottom seam (not called for in the pattern). This will allow me to remove the stuffing for cleaning, if necessary.

Summer Outfit

Here's a summer top and skirt I made for one of my granddaughters.  I didn't use the yo-yos on the top per the pattern but decided to digitize circles that match the skirt.  It's currently hanging in VSQ as a shop sample.  It was fun and easy to do and I really enjoyed adding the circles!!

Well, I've been working on 4D Family Portrait lately.  It's sometimes a little tricky with colors and I'm definitely getting better.  Here are a couple of examples.

Man, it's been awhile.  Well, I'm working in 4D Family Portrait lately.  Finding the ins and outs of getting a design to stitch out and actually look like something.  I've found that the software is smarter than me.  When I pick the colors vs. the software, it doesn't look so good.  I'm going to trust the software more and my naked eye less.  I'll be posting some pictures of the before and after soon.
